SUNRISE CEREMONY

Please join us Friday morning at a Sunrise Ceremony in honor of National Native HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. This special day is a time to come together as a community to heal and acknowledge the impact of HIV on American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian communities.

The event will feature healing ceremonies, prayers, Miwok dancers and drum songs. A&PI Wellness Center's own Tatiana Kaneholani will lead a ho'oponopono. Greet the sun and share community. Breakfast is free!

This event is organized by Native American AIDS Project, with support from Asian &ammp; Pacific Islander Wellness Center.

TAKING CARE OF THE TRIBE POW-WOW

  • When: Saturday March 19th, 2011 from 10am-6pm
  • Location: Horace Mann Academic Middle School, 3351 23rd St., San Francisco, CA 94110
  • Near 24th St. BART station; Bus Lines 14, 26, 48, 49, 67
