Paddle with Us and Help Raise Funds for fighting AIDS

Please help raise funds for A&PI Wellness Center - and encourage others also - by participating in a unique new event - People Paddle for AIDS.

A&PI Wellness Center has teamed up with Healing Waters (www.hwaters.org) to help raise money for AIDS service agencies with a kayak outing on San Francisco Bay - under the Bay Bridge and over to McCovey Cove at AT&T Park - on Sunday, April 15th. We hope to organize an A&PI Wellness Center team for this fun outdoor event. Healing Waters is coordinating this event and will manage and pay for the liability insurance, People Paddle for AIDS website, online pledging, data entry, thank you letters, tee shirts, food and beverages etc.

85% of the funds we raise will go directly to support A&PI Wellness Center. The remaining 15% goes to support Healing Waters, the event coordinator with City Kayak, and to cover the event costs. 100% of the donations received are tax deductible.

Never kayaked before? No worries -- City Kayak is offering kayak lessons for a mere $25! No boat? No worries -- A&PI Wellness Center is picking up the kayak rentals for the paddle! The event ends with an awards ceremony, live music and a barbecue lunch.

Registration is $25 (in effect, your personal donation) and includes an event T-shirt, post-event music/awards ceremony and lunch! It also helps to cover the cost of the event, so that 85% of the funds raised can go to the AIDS agencies.

To register, simply visit www.peoplepaddle.com and click on the Register to Paddle link and fill out the form. The form includes a section where you can select A&PI Wellness Center as your beneficiary of choice.

Paddlers are asked to raise $200 minimum for their favorite registered AIDS Service Organization by getting their friends, family and co-workers to sponsor them. Your sponsors just visit www.peoplepaddle.com and click the Sponsor a Paddler link to make their sponsorship pledge.
