For the second year in a row, our fierce friends at SkateOut
have selected Asian & Pacific Islander Wellness Center
as a beneficiary for ONE HIT WONDER, debuting on SATURDAY,
SEPTEMER 2, the nation's premiere adult ice show. If you missed
Fire & Ice last summer -- or if you were there cheering
on figure skating's luminaries Surya Bonaly, Rudy Galindo,
and Caryn Kadavy, and adults like yours truly performing our
personal best -- ONE HIT WONDER is A SHOW NOT TO BE MISSED!
The live line-up is breathtaking: Diva Martha Wash (It's Raining
Men), and current champions and Winter Olympians from the
US, UK and Canada, including the best of our own A&PI
communities Emanuel Sandhu and Rena Inoue. Come have a thrilling
evening, raise money to support A&PIs living with and
at-risk for HIV, see me (in my final ice show as executive
director) and dozens of other adult skaters (including medalists
from the recent Gay Games VII in Chicago) perform for you,
your friends, co-workers, neighbors, and families. The show
is hot, but be sure to dress warmly...
