Our staff and Board of Directors take very seriously the
responsibility of managing A&PI Wellness Center’s
financial resources toward the fulfillment of our mission.
As our annual operating budget has doubled since 1997,
we have developed strong financial systems to track our
activities. The Board’s Finance Committee secures
an independent audit of our financial statements each year:
we are proud that in A&PI Wellness Center's history,
our auditors have never issued a management letter.
This
attention to financial practices extends to our management
of grants and contracts. Among our institutional funders
we have built a reputation as a sound investment—a
community-based nonprofit business that can manage both
the programmatic and financial aspects of partnering with
private foundations and government agencies. Like many
nonprofit organizations we have had to weather the financial
challenges of the past several years. Our culture of financial
transparency is a major part of our continued success.
In sharing our financial performance with our staff, Board
of Directors, and supporters we engage multiple stakeholders
in planning for our future.
