The National Capacity Building Assistance (CBA) Program provides organizational, programmatic and technical support to fight the HIV epidemic in Asian & Pacific Islander communities. Together with our national partner, Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum, we provide a variety of capacity building services to meet your needs.
Our Capacity Building Assistance program offers:

Our CBA program has worked with individuals, community-based organizations, federal, state and city health departments and communities across the nation and the Pacific Island Jurisdictions.
For over 12 years, this program has worked to foster:
- Increased A&PI cultural and linguistic capacity within HIV-related health systems
- Increased A&PI-specific resources with the health care system
- Increased community leadership, mobilization and involvement in community –building and problem-solving around HIV issues

HIV-related stigma and discrimination are significant barriers in A&PI communities—particularly when it comes to accessing culturally competent HIV-related health services. Join our national coalition and become part of the Banyan Tree Project! The Banyan Tree Project is a national project aimed at increasing acceptance of people living with HIV in the A&PI community.
