Our own Cecilia Chung, longtime transgender activist, has just been appointed by Mayor Gavin Newsom to serve on the San Francisco Human Rights Commission!

SAN FRANCISCO - August 30, 2004 — Previously serving on the HIV Health Services Planning Council and as President of the LGBT Pride Committee, Cecilia has recently taken a position with the HIV capacity building assistance team with our long-time partner, Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum. She has served on A&PI Wellness Center's Board of Directors since August 2001, and is currently a member of the Board's Fund Development Committee.
