Nine youth graduated from AQU25A's summer peer leadership
training!
SAN FRANCISCO - September 14, 2004 — Nine A&PI
LGBT youth successfully completed a six-week stipended training
during the months of July and August 2004. Utilizing a popular
education model, youth met twice a week to learn about facilitation
skills and safer sex information. They all had opportunities
to lead discussion topics ranging from self esteem, identity
development, and community issues. Youth celebrated their
success on a weekend picnic at Dolores Park. This training
program was made possible by a collaboration with LYRIC. AQU25A
plans to hold similar training next summer. For further information,
