CASTING CALL
Asian & Pacific Islander Wellness Center is seeking A&PI
actors for the first NATIONAL A&PI HIV/AIDS AWARENESS
DAY broadcast TV/radio public service announcements to run
during May and June 2005.
We're looking for actors willing to donate their time and
talents, as we are a nonprofit. In exchange, actors will receive
national exposure for a great cause, an historic first. There
may be small honoraria given.
Spots will run in the following markets but are not limited
to them: San Francisco, Honolulu, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles,
and Washington, D.C. We may use your image for other nationally
distributed promotional materials in a variety of formats
including print, digital, electronic, new media (DVDs, CDs,
etc.) and for web/online communications.
A. “Turning the Tables” – Needed: two
A&PI male actors, preferably who are not easily identifiable
as belonging to a specific A&PI ethnic group.
1. Older brother – Age range: 45—55 years. Traditional,

2. Younger brother – Age range: 20—30 years. Edgy,

B. “Breaking Traditions” – Needed: two
