Blue Diamond Society, Nepal's
LGBT Organization,
Receives International Recognition
WHAT:
Blue Diamond Society, Nepal's first and leading LGBT rights organization, will
receive the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC)'s
prestigious Felipa de Souza Award for 2007. The award will
be presented at two separate ceremonies on May 1 in New York City and on
May 3 in San Francisco. Sunil Pant, Founder and Director of Blue Diamond
Society, will accept the award on his organization's behalf.
The International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC) will also
present a panel discussion, South Asians Here and There:
A Dialogue About LGBT and Human Rights, featuring Sunil Pant, Founder
and Director of Blue Diamond Society, the 2007 Felipa de Souza Award Recipient.
The panel will be held on April 30 in New York City and on May 2 in San Francisco.
