AQUA Youth PRIDE Week Schedule

SPEAK UP! SPEAK OUT! A Spoken Word Workshop
Monday, June 22nd 6pm–8:30pm

Ever wish you could share your thoughts, but just didn’t know how to do it?! Come to our spoken word workshop, facilitated by a Poet Mentor from Youth Speaks. Get those brilliant, beautiful thoughts out there! Brush up on your writing and performance skills or just go ‘head and try something new! Free Food! EAT MY SHORTS! A screening of short films by Queer Youth!
Tuesday, June 23rd 6pm–8:30pm

Wanna chill with some cool folks while watching some short films?! This is the spot! Queee young folks from around the Bay Area strut their filmmaking stuff in our film shorts presentation! This Pride be prepared! Wanna find out how to cupcake with that new cutie or make things more fun and great with your current sweetie? Come to our workshop! We'll share our best practices and learn some new ones from you! Free Food!

Glitter and Glue! A Crafting Bonanza!
Friday, June 25th 4pm–7pm

Come make crafts with other folks in preparation for Pride! We’re gonna make confetti eggs, rainbow candles (that you can take home), and posters for the Pride Parade! Just a bunch of queer youth, making shit and making shit happen! Free Food!

RECEPTION WITH HELEN ZIA FOR A&PI PRIDE 2009

A&PI Wellness Center in partnership with Trigger will be holding an open-to-the-public reception with Helen Zia, this year’s Community Grand Marshall. On Wednesday, June 24, 2009 from 6:00pm–9:00pm at 2344 Market Street we will celebrate Helen’s achievements.

Asian & Pacific Islander Wellness Center will be conducting free confidential and anonymous RAPID ORAL HIV testing in multiple Asian languages. Get your results in 30 minutes. Visit our booth located between Turk Street and Golden Gate Avenue.
