Dear Friends,
In the year 2000, the Board of Directors of Asian & Pacific
Islander Wellness Center (A&PIWC) launches The Families
Campaign 2000-2003 a community-wide effort to raise $500,000
to ensure that A&PIWC remains relevant and responsive
to the evolving needs of Asians and Pacific Islanders living
with HIV and their families.
The Families Campaign is an opportunity for you to support
A&PIWC, a community organization whose values-driven work
is grounded in compassion, integrity, and hope.
By participating in The Families Campaign, you help in realizing
A&PIWC's vision of building a community that strengthens
our capacity as Asians and Pacific Islanders to address the
impact of HIV in our lives.
Taking this vision into the future means expanding access
for Asians and Pacific Islanders living with and at risk for
HIV, and their families. A&PIWC has set forth three new
program goals for the next three years to:
- Expand clinic services for Asians and Pacific Islanders,
regardless of HIV status,
- Launch an Employment Services Program specifically for
Asians and Pacific Islanders at high risk of HIV, and
- Increase our impact nationally as a resource for Asian
and Pacific Islander communities addressing HIV/AIDS across
the U.S. and the Pacific Basin.
Celebrate the families we have strengthened, and the families
we have created, in response to the presence of HIV in our
communities.
With deep appreciation,
Beth Rosales
