Transgender Programs

WHO ARE WE

tm4m is a group for transmen who play with men (or want to...) and the men who play with us.

Our goal is to provide information, education and support to transmen who have sex with men (both other transguys and cisguys). To do this, we put on monthly educational workshops and discussion groups, publish informational materials and continuously work to foster acceptance and build community. Our monthly events are on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 7-9PM at Eros, The Center for Safe Sex (2051 Market Street, SF, CA MAP). tm4m is a collaborative effort co-sponsored by Eros, Trannywood Pictures and TRANS: THRIVE (a program of the Asian & Pacific Islander Wellness Center).

Why are we doing this work?

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS WORK

tm4m grew out of community concern for a lack of resources for transmen who play with men. Transmen are not always accepted in gay male spaces and as gay, bisexual or queer men, we don’t always fit in to trans spaces. The result is that some transmen feel isolated or disconnected. It has also been difficult for us to get accurate and tailored information about sexual health and HIV risk. tm4m addresses these gaps by working to build community and create resources for information sharing and education.

New Beginnings: Living Life as a Transgender Filipina. I remember being in the fifth grade. I felt very strongly that there was something different about me - different from the rest of the boys. I had a lot in common with the girls that I played with. Being the youngest of five, I was always afraid to show my real feelings about myself.
